Let’s take a look at some general differences

Cannabis or Marijuana — Lets get this one out of the way right off the bat. It contains various amounts of THC. It’s the THC that is the psychoactive compound that makes a person feel high. Cannabis is noted for having medicinal and therapeutic uses for a great variety of health issues and always comes with a “high” of various degrees – depending on the strain.

And — it requires a Medical Marijuana card. CBD products with more than 0.3% THC also fall into this medical category.
Now.. We will put that on the back burner – let’s get to the differences between Hemp CBD oil and just Hemp oil.

About The Hemp Plant

The stalks of the plant are used for a wide variety of industrial items: Rope, plastics, clothing and much more. Hemp oil comes from the flowers, leaves, and stalks and is used for a variety of things as well — including – and – most noted for is CBD Hemp oil.

Hemp CBD Oil Is called a medicine and the list of all the things it is said to help with is very long. A few of the most well noted are Insomnia, Stress, Inflammation, and Pain. It has to contain less than 0.3% THC in order to be sold legally, so no, you will not get a high from it.

Hemp oil comes from hemp seeds and have 0% THC. The seeds are sold as seeds, ground down to make hemp milk, or are cold-pressed for oil production. The oil is generally used for such things as cooking. Also used in many beauty products. The seeds are sold for health purposes because they are high in Protein, Amino Acids, Vitamins E, B1 and B12, Minerals Potassium and Magnesium and Polyunsaturated fats (omega-3 and omega-6).

hemp products: seeds, hearts (shelled seeds) and protein powder

The final difference between hemp oil and CBD oil lies in the methods by which they are produced.

Hemp oil is produced by pressing the hemp seeds to extract their oil. It is very much the same process as used to produce many other oils, such as: olive, coconut, sesame, and peanut oil.

CBD oil is produced through a process called solvent extraction. A solvent like alcohol, butane, or CO2 is forced across and through the plant matter. This separates the cannabinoids, terpenes, and trichomes. The solvent is then allowed (or forced) to evaporate, leaving behind the cannabinoid-packed CBD oil.

NOTE: Personally I choose a product that comes from the CO2 extraction method.

A lot of misleading labeling happens out there in the hemp world. There are those selling “hemp oil products” that tend to lead the buyer astray if they have not done their homework. They dress up their products with marijuana leaves and try to make it seem as thou it could be the same thing as Hemp CBD oil. I think we have already established it is – JUST NOT.

NOTE: The FDA has sent warning letters to some companies for falsely advertising their products as safe or as effective medical treatments. GENERALLY this had been Hemp oil companies that try to pass off their products as doing much the same thing as Hemp CBD oil.

Just one more reason why doing your own research is a good thing.

I hope that explains the price difference. What I, sometimes, hear is “why should I pay that price when I can grab some down at the convenient market for far less?”

And There’s This…

Now that we know – if were looking for medicinal hemp products they should clearly state HEMP CBD. And, while companies are not required to list the milligrams of the CBD included in the products, I would not purchase one that didn’t. Thankfully, it has become common practice so nearly all of them do list the milligrams.

Choosing the best Company

Several months back I spent quite a lot of time investigating the top 20 Hemp CBD companies of 2019. My choice was CBD PURE.

From their website: “CBDPure oils are made with non-GMO hemp, grown in Colorado by local farmers. Our hemp oil is minimally processed by following the highest organic standards at every step of our growing, harvesting, and bottling process. When you buy a CBDPure product, you are buying the purest CBD oil from natural sources, that is 100% free of any synthetic or artificial ingredients. We test every batch of oil that we process to ensure that it meets the purity standards that we demand.” AND “Our hemp oil is third-party tested for potency and quality. Our stringent testing program ensures that you get the very best, and most potent, CBD oil available legally.”

They also have a 90 day money back guarantee and that is rarely seen among other companies. There might be some others who offer it but I did not see any.

And the last reason it was my choice is that they have not gone crazy with 50 products. They have a lineup of products that gives everyone quality choices. I like the less is more idea, leads me to believe that they are more concerned with quality than quantity.

Let’s look at a run down of their products

CHOOSING A CONCENTRATION

With many options for CBD available, it can be confusing to determine which one is best for you. While CBD products can come in a variety of forms, sizes, and brands, the goal of each is the same; to get the best dosage of cannabidiol for your health. The difference between CBD Pure’s 3 different oil options comes down mainly to potency; the larger the number, the more cannabidiol in each dose.

CBDPure 300 For those just starting out, or needing only a small “boost” to their health, CBDPure 300 provides an economical way to experience first-hand the effects of supplementing with CBD. Each 2-ounce bottle provides a minimum of 300 Milligrams of natural cannabidiol, delivering 10 milligrams to your system with each daily ½ dropper of oil.

Providing over 20 milligrams of concentrated CBD with each daily dose, it provides a more powerful option for users looking to get more of the health benefits and effects of using CBD oil. The CBDPure 600 is our most popular option of our line of CBD oils.

CBDPure 1000 is our strongest and most concentrated oral oil available. Like our other oil options, it uses full-spectrum oil in a hemp carrier oil base, but at the highest concentration possible while still maintaining compliance with industrial hemp rules governing maximum cannabinoid content. CBDPure 1000 provides over 33 milligrams of daily cannabidiol to your body. CBDPure 1000 is our most potent oil, formulated to serve the needs of customers who need the greatest concentration of CBD in each daily dose.

CBDPure Softgels 750 has been developed for those wanting a mega-dose of CBD in a single serving and the convenience of a softgel. Each serving of CBDPure Softgels 750 delivers a whopping 25 mg of cannabidiol in an easy to swallow softgel.
